The National Rimfire League (NRL22) is a national organization with a coordinated course of fire every month. All NRL22 affiliated clubs will use the same base course of fire for the given calendar month.
The NRL22 discipline involves shooting at steel targets ranging in 1/4″ to 3″ (and occassionally up to 6″) in size from 25 yards to 100 yards away. The targets are engaged from various positions using the ground (prone) or props and barricades such as ladders, sawhorses, tires, and tank traps under a 120 second time limit (10 to 12 round stages).
Rifles used are semi-automatic or bolt action rifles chambered in .22LR with removable magazines, an optical sight (magnified scope), and bipod.
